Wichita, KS - The Kansas Auctioneers Association held their annual convention at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Wichita, KS January 11th -14th, 2007. The convention had a variety of educational seminars for auctioneers and Realtors ® in Kansas, Oklahoma and Nebraska. The convention was hosted by the 2006 Kansas Auctioneers Association president Rick Brock, of McCurdy Auction.

At this convention Lonny McCurdy was inducted into the Kansas Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame. This prestigious award is given to Kansas auctioneers that serve as strong leaders in the auction industry. He was recognized for his inspiring contributions to the auction industry, the community and the Kansas Auctioneers Association.

Overall, McCurdy Auction had a very successful year at the Kansas convention. Not only was Lonny inducted into the Hall of Fame, but Megan McCurdy, Lonny’s daughter, won first place in the Rookie Auctioneer Contest. Lonny and his team have built a full-time regional and multi-state auction firm, conducting over 300 auctions per year with a record setting year of over 400 real estate auctions. They specialize in real estate with licensed real estate brokers and auctioneers in Kansas Oklahoma and Missouri.
